Winnipeg Home Sales Down 2% in June

Local homebuyers took a bit of a breather last month, according to new figures released today.

Winnipeg Realtors said 1,487 properties were sold last month through the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS). That’s a decline of two per cent from the 1,516 that changed hands in June, 2011.

The decline in sales came in spite of nearly 2,000 new listings coming onto the market during the month — an increase of four per cent from June of last year.
