Wilmington Home Sales Up 20% in August

North Carolina: Wilmington Home Sales Up 20% in AugustWilmington-area home sales rose more than 20 percent in August compared with a year earlier, the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors reported Wednesday.

The 555 sales last month – up from 462 in August 2011 – was the biggest total for August since 2007, according to Realtor statistics. It also tied with June for the largest number of sales this year.

The figures reflect sales in the area covered by the WRAR multiple listing service – roughly New Hanover, Pender and northern Brunswick County.
