WI: Home Sales Up for Fourth Straight Month

Wisconsin Gay real EstateFor the fourth straight month, sales of existing homes and condos rose over last year in every region of Wisconsin, while median sales price was down almost everywhere.

Statewide, sales in October were up 13.5 percent, from 3,825 to 4,342, the Wisconsin Realtors Association reported Monday. Median price fell by 7.8 percent to $129,000.

WRA officials again attributed the year-over-year sales rise to the federal tax credit for home buyers ending last July, which resulted in unusually weak sales for the rest of 2010.
