TN: Nashville Foreclosures Jumped at End of 2010

CoreLogic reports that the Nashville-area foreclosure rate ended 2010 at 1.89 percent, 16 basis points higher than a November number that was itself up 17 beeps from October.

We can take some solace from the fact that Middle Tennessee’s housing market is still in much better shape than the nation’s — December’s foreclosure rate was 3.58 percent and banks own less real estate here than elsewhere.

But there’s no escaping the fact that dark red is a lot more prevalent on the lower of these two maps.
