Seattle Home Prices Jumped 5.5% in November Over 2012Home values in the Seattle metropolitan area in November posted their largest monthly gain since 2007, according to a report from Seattle-based online real estate listing service Zillow.

Zillow’s Home Value Index tracks the median valuation of all single-family houses, condominiums and cooperatives in a given area, regardless of whether the properties have sold within a given period or not.

November marked the ninth consecutive month that home values have appreciated in the Puget Sound area. The median home value in November was $268,200, up 5.5 percent compared to November a year ago. That compares to the region’s largest annual increase posted in June 2007 when home values rose 6.2 percent compared to the prior year.
