Real Estate Sales, Prices Fell in Riverside County in February

The median house price in Southwest Riverside County slipped to $200,500 in February as sales fell to a three-year low, according to data from the Riverside County assessor’s office.

The median house price has lingered within a range of $200,000 to $215,000 for the 17th consecutive month, roughly the same value as in 2002.

Buyers worried about the economy stayed out of the market this winter, and low prices in San Diego County let some local commuters move closer to work. Real estate agents said only the cheapest houses in Southwest County generated a lot of interest.
