More About the Professional:
Why choose me as your REALTOR®?
Creativity comes naturally to me. I think every problem has an infinite number of solutions. Choosing the right solution is the key. I’ve spent most of my life as an artist and I believe my experience brings a unique perspective to Palm Springs real estate. As your real estate agent, I will work tirelessly to thoroughly understand your needs and find the best solution for them. My philosophy is that making a deal is nothing like making people happy.
I grew up in Palo Alto, California. After I graduated high school, I pursued a career as a professional ballet dancer. I trained at San Francisco Ballet School and joined American Ballet Theatre in 1986. I retired from dance in 1992 and enrolled at Fordham University. I transferred to San Francisco State University in 1994 and earned two degrees in 1997, one in statistics and the other in economics. With a focus on going on to business school, I went to work in several marketing positions. After a few years, however, I realized I needed more creativity in my life and I decided to go back into the arts. I enrolled in the photography program at City College of San Francisco and opened my own commercial photography business in 2005. The downturn of the market in 2008 affected the photographic industry enormously and, after only a few short years in business, I decided it was time to look for a new direction.More Details:
The US Census estimated the gay population in Palm Springs at 115 same sex couples per 1,000 households. I don't believe that. It's more like 70% gay. Regardless, it's safe to say that Palm Springs is a very gay town. But it's a gay town with a very small town feel. And that's exactly what I was looking for when I moved here. I'd lived in big cities most of my life and, as a gay male, I had a great time in these big cities. But, even though every city I lived in had a large gay community, I felt more and more disconnected from my community. Everyday life became so overwhelming it was all I could do to keep afloat. I knew I had to make a change. I wanted to scale back and get away from traffic and crowds. I had had enough of those for eight lifetimes. And I knew I wanted to move to a place where I could have the freedom and the flexibility (relatively cheap cost of living) to reinvent myself again. What I found in Palm Springs was more than just a place I could spread my wings, so to speak. I found a place I fit in. The gay community here is so large and yet so small. And friendly! You get to know a lot of people here really fast. If you've been thinking about getting off the treadmill, come to Palm Springs. Come join our town!
