PA: Pittsburgh Home Sales, Prices Up in November

Pennsylvania Gay Real EstateHome sales in the Pittsburgh region increased 10.7 percent in November compared to the same month last year, according to a report issued Monday. Average home prices also rose.

There were 1,803 homes sold in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland counties last month compared with 1,629 a year ago, according to RealStats, a South Side-based real estate information company, which tracks recorded sales of at least $10,000.

Allegheny County had a 15.7 percent increase in sales while Beaver, Washington and Westmoreland counties had sales increases ranging from 5 percent to 7 percent. Butler County had one less sale, 152 last month, compared to a year ago, the report said.
