The New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority says about 320 homeowners lost their houses in August. That was less than in August a year ago but more than the number of foreclosures the month before.
The relatively constant flow of foreclosed properties into the market puts a damper on prices. In August, the median price of a home slipped about 2 percent. Housing analyst Dan Smith says it will be a while before the state shakes off that dynamic.
