NH: February Home Sales Down in Cheshire County, Up For Whole State

New Hampshire Gay Real EstateNew Hampshire’s real estate industry is showing some signs of revival, but the picture in Cheshire County isn’t all that bright, according to data from the New Hampshire Association of Realtors.

Statewide, home sales in February were up 7.2 percent from the year-ago period. The gain came off a similar-size jump in January. A total of 1,122 properties changed hands in the first two months of the year, up from 1,070 in the first two months of 2010, the report shows.

But sales prices continued to head down. The statewide median sales price of homes sold in February was $185,000, off 7.5 percent from $200,000 level in February, 2010.
