New Mexico Home Prices Up in September

New Mexico Home Prices Up in SeptemberNew Mexico home prices increased 3.2 percent in September — compared to a year earlier — in a sign of momentum that has been seen in the residential market across much of the U.S.

The numbers come from a Nov. 6 report from real estate data provider CoreLogic (NYSE: CLGX).

According to a report in the Albuquerque Journal, the year-over-year increase was the 28th highest among the states. The average increase nationwide was 5 percent — the largest year-over-year increase since July 2006 — driven largely by double-digit jumps in sales prices in states like Arizona and Nevada that were hit hard when the housing bubble burst.
