NC: Wilmington Home Sales Improved, Prices Declined in November

Wilmington, North Carolina Real EstateNovember was a better month for Wilmington-area home sales. According to statistics released Thursday by the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors, sales totaled 331 last month in the area covered by the WRAR – New Hanover, Pender and northern Brunswick counties – up from 318 in November 2010.

In fact, in the first 11 months of the year, sales were marginally ahead of the same period last year. Prices were a different story, however.

Looking at only one month, the average price of homes sold last month – $200,575 – was down nearly 19 percent from $247,509 in November 2010, and was the lowest of any November since 2003, according to WRAR data.
