NC: Wilmington Home Prices Up Slightly in March, Prices Dipped

Asheville, North Carolina Real EstateHomes sales inched up in March compared with a year earlier, but prices continued to fall, according to statistics released Monday by the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors.

Sales last month totaled 434, up about 3 percent from 422 in March 2011.

The average price of a home sold in March slid about 15 percent, to $206,112 from $242,875 a year earlier, and median prices dropped 6.5 percent, to $168,150 from $180,000. Median means that half of homes sold for more and half for less.
