The Charlotte region saw an increase in the amount of homes sold this February, and each home’s average sales price, when compared to the same time last year, according to the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association.
The group says 1,614 homes sold in the region in February at an average sales price of $184,775. That’s an improvement over the 1,325 homes sold at an average sales price of $180,940 for February 2011.
That’s the opposite of what’s happening in south Charlotte, where both the number of homes and average sales price dropped in February. Last month, 82 homes sold in south Charlotte at an average sales price of $326,765. That’s compared to 116 homes that sold in February 2011 at an average sales price of $353,399.
