NC: Asheville Home Sales Jumped Sharply in November

Asheville, North Carolina Real EstateHome sales in Buncombe County took another step up last month, rising 41.2 percent over November 2010.

Home prices kept dropping, however, according to data from N.C. Mountains Multiple Listing Service. The median sale price – the point at which half were higher, half lower — of $190,000 for November was 11.4 percent the $214,500 figure recorded in November 2010 in the county.

Trends were similar in neighboring counties, as the number of sales rose in Haywood, Henderson and Transylvania counties but median sale prices fell in each county.
