Seventy-four homes were sold in August, which is considered the peak month for home sales across the country. That number was the second highest in the local association’s history and has only been beaten once, in May 2008, when 83 were sold.
“August was a very good month for us,” said Mark Simonich, a government affairs director with the Helena Association of Realtors. “We’re hoping to see a trend that takes us through the winter.”
