MB: Winnipeg Housing Market Improves

Competition is fierce in the Winnipeg housing market, even before the busy spring season. Re/Max’s spring Market Trends report finds local home sales are on par with past years — because there aren’t enough houses for people looking.

Especially in the under $250,000 market, the real estate company says, homes get five or six bids.

Unsuccessful bidders move on to other homes, which is driving the average price of Winnipeg houses up to $241,115 — up 10% from $219,450 last year.
