The U.S. housing market continues to ride an uncomfortable rollercoaster as the economy continues to stumble. The U.S. Housing and Urban Development released numbers showing the amount of home sales and home builds both heading south recently.
Thanks to a stalled economy, a lot less houses are being built in Lexington today than there were a decade ago.
“We’re on track to do about 400-500 homes this year. Our 10 year average is between 1,800 and 2000,” says Todd Johnson. Johnson, the Executive Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Lexington, says while it can be disheartening, its not totally unexpected.
