IN: Southern State Home Sales Improve, But Still Down From 2010

The number of homes sold in Southern Indiana in June was down 8 percent from June a year ago, but sales appear to be rising, according to the latest figures from Re/Max of Indiana.

“The number of homes sold in April, May and June of this year have all been down when compared to the number of homes sold during the same period in 2010,” Dan Breault, executive vice president and regional director for Re/Max Indiana, said in a news release.

“However, each month’s comparison to 2010 has gotten progressively better, moving nearly 14 percentage points in three months,” he said. “If this trend continues, Southern Indiana’s real estate market could very soon be back on the plus side.”
