HI: Home Prices Fell in September on Kauai, Big Island

Hawaii Real EstateSales of single-family homes rose on Hawaii island and Kauai in September compared with a year earlier, while prices continued to fall, the Hawaii Information Service reported today.

Sales of condominium prices were unchanged on both islands, while prices fell, according to the report.

The Kauai single-family market experienced the biggest gain, with the number of sales climbing to 27 in September from 16 a year earlier, an increase of 69 percent. The median price on Kauai, however, fell 22 percent to $415,000 from $529,500.
