Has Western Washington Real Estate Hit Bottom?

There were more home closings in King County and Western Washington in June compared with May, and the average sale price of a King County home rose to more than $400,000 last month. That news heartened some in the real estate industry.

According to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) June report, there were 2,362 King County home closings in June, compared with 2,104 in May and 2,348 in June 2010.

In King County, the average sale price of a home rose to $412,836 in June from $387,566 in May. In June 2010, the average sale price of a King County home was $447,150.
