Charleston, West Virginia Home Sales Strong in June

West Virginia Real EstateThe Charleston-area housing market is showings signs of a rebound as home sales topped 1,000 for the second straight month and prices have stabilized at a median price of $200,000.

In June, 1,033 homes sold, according to figures released by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. In May, 1,002 homes sold.

“Our market is showing clear signs of price stability and positive, sustainable growth,” said Herb Koger, 2012 CTAR president. “Buyers are capitalizing on this market; taking advantage of low mortgage rates and sales are being encouraged by an ongoing decline in inventory and continued affordable pricing.”
