Canada: Saskatchewan Real Estate Sales Dipped in April

Saskatchewan real estate sales were down 2.8 per cent to 1,036 in April from 1,066 in April 2010, while dollar volume of sales was off slightly to $265.3 million from $266.1 million in the previous-year period, Canadian Real Estate Association said Tuesday.

But average prices continued to climb by 2.6 per cent to $256,034 in April compared with $249,634 in April 2010, the CREA report said.

For the year to date, Saskatchewan saw a slight decrease in units sold to 3,378 from 3,391 in the first four months of 2010, while dollar volume of sales increased 4.2 per cent to $855.4 million from $820.9 million during the same period last year.
