In its forecast released Tuesday, CREA said sales this year will increase by 7.3 per cent from 2010, to 53,350 units, and another 6.8 per cent in 2012, to 57,000 sales.
The forecasted year-over-year increases would be the highest in Canada, by percentage. The association also predicts the average sale price in Alberta will increase 1.5 per cent this year, to $357,500, and a further 1.8 per cent, to $364,000, in 2012.
