Alabama Home Sales and Prices Up in March

Alabama Real Estate in MarchStatewide home sales totaled 3,374 during March, a 9 percent improvement from a year ago, according to the Alabama Center for Real Estate.

The organization, based at the University of Alabama, also said year-to-date statewide home sales are up 11.4 percent over the same time period last year.

Last month’s average selling price was $141,005, a 4 percent increase from March 2011, while the median selling price rose 6 percent to $118,280.
