AL: Birmingham Home Prices Fell in May

Birmingham, Alabama Real EstateBirmingham area home prices declined in May, pulled down by foreclosure-related transactions, according to research firm CoreLogic.

Home prices in Alabama’s largest metro area, including distressed sales, declined by 9.6 percent in May from the prior year, CoreLogic said today. The year-over-year decline in April was 9.3 percent. May’s decline was 6.2 percent when foreclosure-related transactions were excluded.
