AL: Birmingham Home Prices Dropped in June Compared to Last Year

Home prices in the Birmingham metro area fell 9.1 percent in June compared to the same month in 2010, according to data from CoreLogic (NYSE: CLGX).

If distressed sales are excluded, prices fell just 3.4 percent in June 2011 compared to June 2010.

According to CoreLogic, national prices dropped 6.8 percent, including distressed sales, over the same period of time. Excluding distressed sales, prices fell 1.1 percent nationally.
