
Every year, The Advocate ranks the cities in the US for queer friendliness based on a number of criteria. This year, the criteria includes lesbian bars, trans events, gay rugby teams, theaters screening “Moonlight”, Misterb&b hosts, LGBT centers, and more. Here’s today’s pick:
No, Pittsburgh is not like it’s depicted in Showtime’s 2000s series Queer as Folk. Sure, there’s a Liberty Avenue full of gay nightlife. Yeah, there’s an active LGBT community center. Well, it’s easy to catch a screening of Moonlight there, or even meet a cute hipster at the new Ace Hotel or maybe a future legend at The Andy Warhol Museum. OK, well maybe it’s not too far off.
