The Advocate’s Queerest Cities in America – 6. Atlanta

The city has its own Trans Pride celebration, an operating lesbian bar (My Sister’s Room), a gay rugby team, showings of Moonlight, an LGBT center, and it hosted the band Pwr Bttm. Basically, it nailed nearly all aspects of our criteria of what makes a queer city. The city also makes a concerted effort to assist homeless and/or struggling LGBT youth. More on Atlanta here.
