Every year, The Advocate ranks the cities in the US for queer friendliness based on a number of criteria. This year, the criteria includes lesbian bars, trans events, gay rugby teams, theaters screening “Moonlight”, Misterb&b hosts, LGBT centers, and more. Here’s today’s pick:
Surprised that Toledo has an 89 on HRC’s Muncipal Equality Index? Yeah, so were we. Lucas County, home of Toledo, was also only one of seven Ohio counties to vote for Hillary over him. Toledo also has its own LGBT organization (Equality Toledo) and approximately half a dozen LGBT-friendly bars, an astounding number for a city its size (about 280,000 people). More on Toledo here.
