Babs De Lay, Lesbian Salt Lake City Real Estate Agent

Babs De Lay, founder and principal broker of Urban Utah Home and Estates, has been working in real estate in Salt Lake City, Utah for nearly 25 years.

With degrees in Science, English, Business Communications as well as a Ph.D in Philosophy of Religion, Babs has a knack for learning and seeks out all that the real estate industry has to ffer in order to earn "designations" (which explains the CRS, ABR, SRES, LTG, DREI) that help her help serve her clients more effectively.

Babs is a nationally recognized instructor in real estate marketing and in Megan's Law (and has been considered one of the few real estate experts on Megan's Law in the United States). In short, Babs has taught REALTORS how to be better REALTORS. In 2003, she served as president of the Women's Council of REALTORS and currently is a Salt Lake City Planning and Zoning Commissioner.

Babs has also been highly involved in the community, including hosting a women in music program on KRCL for 27 years. She is also on the advisory board of UCASA and won the National 2005 Award for Outstanding Advocacy and Community Work in Ending Sexual Violence, in part for her production of the Vagina Monologues that has benefitted local charities for the past 7 years. Babs was awarded the YWCA's Outstanding Leadership Award in Business in 2008.

Babs has twin daughters and four grand children.
