About Mark:
I'm a native North Carolinian from the Appalachian Mountains. I have a great appreciation for our States rich Southern heritage. I try to instill a little bit of that in each of my clients that move into the area, whether it's teaching them how to speak "Southern" or having them over for supper and delighting them with some of my grandmother's mouth watering Southern recipes.
I was born with a passion for architecture and design and our state is filled with a diversity of "homes styles" and "life styles", from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the eastern Atlantic shores. I've taken several interior design courses and have been involved in many home renovations and interior projects that include room planning, fabrication/ installation, staging, furniture placement, lighting and general design concept consultation.
Out of college, I moved to California and ended up living there for almost 13 years. There, I met my life partner, Ed, of 16 years. We got pregnant 8 years ago and had twin daughters (you'll have to call me for the rest of that story!). Shortly after, we decided to move back to the South to raise our children close to family.
In my first year of real estate, I was Rookie of the Year for top sales. Today, I'm proud to say that I rank in the top 5% of producing agents, locally and nationally. I manage about 50 transactions a year and about 75% of my business is with the gay community. For buyers, I'm looked upon for my knowledge of The Queen City and targeting neighborhoods that my clients feel comfortable calling home.

About Gay Charlotte:
Charlotte is named "The Queen City" and is a wonderful place to call home. You'll find wonderful close-in neighborhoods like Dilworth, Myers Park, Elizabeth, Chantilly, The Plaza and Midwood that many of our community find attractive. However, Charlotte has lots of other quaint areas that our gay and lesbian community are moving to. We can be found all over Charlotte!
