About Karen:
My partner and I and our 4 dogs and 4 cats moved to Durham in April 2006 from Los Angeles. We fell in love with how Durham had that " small town " feel yet was a very progressive city with alot of things to do and see.
I have been in customer service/sales for 16 years and have always been interested in the dynamics of real estate. Having been through the buying and selling process myself, I know how exciting and sometimes stressful it can be. As your Realtor I want to make sure that you will have a smooth and enjoyable experience. You can count on me for 100% support!
Also, being an avid animal lover, I donate a percentage of all my real estate transactions to the Independent Animal Rescue of Durham. So not only do I get to help people find the home of their dreams but knowing that maybe I helped just one animal find their loving forever home makes it extra special for me.
About Gay Durham:
If you are looking for a progressive and gay friendly place, the Triangle (Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh) is a little oasis in the southern states. Being the home for so many well ranked universities like Duke, UNC, NCCU, you will find that this area is very diverse, rich in culture and education. There is also the Research Triangle Park (RTP)which is one of the nation's leaders in medical and technology research. That again brings people not only from other states but worldwide.
As a result, the Triangle is a well balanced and liberal city and a great place to live!
