Santa Fe is New Mexico's capital city, in the heart of Santa Fe County, and is about sixty five miles from Albuquerque, close to the Rio Grande River, Cochiti Lake and the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Santa Fe was originally home to the Tewa Native Americans before the Spanish colonization started in 1598. In 1610, Santa Fe was established as New Mexico's Spanish capital. Santa Fe now has 62,000 residents, and has become a famous tourist destination.

Santa Fe is also a great place for outdoor recreation, close to a number of National Parks (Bandelier National Monument and Carlsbad Caverns. There are also great opportunities for golfing, hiking, fishing, camping, and much more.
Santa Fe also has a great public school system, and has a number of great private schools as well. Our higher education schools include the Institute of American Indian Arts, the University of New Mexico at Santa Fe, and the University of Natural Medicine.
