At Gay Realty Network, we list gay friendly real estate professionals all across the United States.

Massachusetts was the first state in the country to legalize gay marriage, back in 2004, continuing a historic tradition of freedom that dates back to the American Revolution, and the state also boasts one of the most gay cities in the USA, Provincetown, on the tip of Cape Cod. The state has about 6.6 million residents, most of whom live in the Greater Boston area in the eastern part of the state along the Atlantic Ocean. The Berkshire Hills in Western Massachusetts are known as a great vacation destination for the city's urban population.

Boston is both the capital and largest city in Massachusetts, with over 600K residents in Boston itself and 4.5 million in the metro area. Boston is known for higher education and medical research, and also for its charming Colonial architecture. There are gay clubs and bars throughout Boston, but the South End and Tremont is Boston's gay neighborhood.

Across the bay at the end of Cape Cod is Provincetown, the famous gay beach resort also known as P-Town. Provincetown emerged as an artist colony in the 1960's, and from there quickly grew to become a popular gay vacation destination for travelers from Boston, New York, and Montreal. The community is very gay and welcoming, and the town is full of nightlife that bustles during the summer months.

If you're looking for a liberal, welcoming community on the eastern seaboard, where the winters aren't too harsh and the summers not too hot, Massachusetts may be the place to try.

At Gay Realty Network, we know from experience how important having gay or gay friendly real estate agent can be, especially when it's time to make an offer and fill out a contract. Having an agent that knows the difference between having joint tenancy or holding a property as tenants in common, who understands gay/lesbian families and our own unique real estate needs and challenges, and who can help you find the gay friendly neighborhoods in your area where you and your friends and family will feel comfortable is invaluable.
