"Jeff, I wanted to write to thank you for your top-notch talent and above-and-beyond support in selling my condo. I've worked with many realtors over the years and you are by far, the best. While I'm sure you don't have a large number of clients that buy a condo and then sell it within the course of six months, you were gracious, supportive, and responded well to my desire to make a profit, even after such a short ownership tenure. The fact that we had a signed offer within days of listing, at the selling price that I wanted, is nothing short of spectacular. Thank you for being so good at what you do. If and when I buy real estate in Chicago, you're definitely the first person that I'll call." - Craig
About Gay Chicago:
Andersonville which began as a Swedish community in the mid-1800s and is located in the Southeast corner of the Edgewater Community Area, south of Uptown and north of Wrigleyville and Lakeview. Today it still showcases it's Swedish heritage but also has a large lesbian community and, in recent years, has seen a growing gay population as well. Situated along the Lake, it's an easy commute south to downtown via either the El or Lakeshore Drive.
Andersonville is loaded with well-preserved landmark homes lining quiet tree-lined streets. This combined with the many fine upstart boutiques, fitness clubs, and trendy specialty stores makes Andersonville a great place to call home.
Lakeview / Boystown, named for the Lakeview Hotel, a country hotel built in 1853, Lakeview is only 4 miles north of downtown Chicago.
East Lakeview is known as "Boystown" and has the distinction of being America's first officially recognized Gay village. The area offers shopping, dining and nightlife concentrated on Halsted Street between Belmont and Addison. This area is easily accessed on public transportation, on the CTA's Red Line.
Often compared to New York's SoHo and Chelsea, the West Loop is a rapidly growing gritty industrial urban environment loaded with trendy shops, restaurants, 30 notable galleries and Oprah's studio! Foodies flock to the modest and upscale dining establishments including Wish Bone, Extra Virgin, Marche, Vivo, One Sixty Blue, Verasway, Blackbird and Sushi Wabi. This is one of Chicago's most hip hoods with the trendy clubs on and around Lake Street in the Fulton Market section.
