At Gay Realty Network, we list gay friendly real estate professionals all across the United States.

Admitted to the United States as our 43rd state in 1890, Idaho is a mountainous state with a population of about 1 and a half million people. Idaho is filled with rugged beauty, and is home to the 2.3 million acre Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness Area.

Boise is Idaho's capital city, and also the largest city in the state, with almost a third of the state's inhabitants living in the Boise metro area. Named for a US Army Fort, the city was incorporated in 1864, and sits on one of the few flat areas in Idaho. Boise has a reputation as the most liberal place in Idaho, and even hosts an annual Gay Pride Parade in mid June. A university town, Boise has a small but thriving gay and lesbian community, with many transplants moving here for the good weather and relatively affordable cost of living.

Idaho's semi arid climate runs the gamut from the low 100's in the summer to the low twenties in the winters.

If you're looking for a Northwest town with warmer, dryer weather than Seattle or Portland and an established gay and lesbian community, Boise might be perfect for you.

At Gay Realty Network, we know from experience how important having gay or gay friendly real estate agent can be, especially when it's time to make an offer and fill out a contract. Having an agent that knows the difference between having joint tenancy or holding a property as tenants in common, who understands gay/lesbian families and our own unique real estate needs and challenges, and who can help you find the gay friendly neighborhoods in your area where you and your friends and family will feel comfortable is invaluable.
