About Liz:

Born in New York City,Liz has been traveling ever since. She attended college at Boston University, (Political Science), Sarah Lawrence College, (Psychology and Modern Dance) and at UC Santa Cruz (Psychology).

She love to experience different places. When she was 19, she took a train across Canada and then made her way down the West Coast to California. She's also been to India, Bali and Australia, but her current favorite is the South of France near the Pyreneés. She also has plans to explore Ireland, Scotland, Tuscany, Nepal and Thailand.

The first time she visited Hawaii was in 1977, to both Maui and Kauai, where she hiked the Na Pali trail. After working in the film industry in California and having an alternative healing practice in New Mexico, she finally got back to Hawaii, and has been living here ever since.

About the Gay Big Island:

The transition to Hawaiian life was an amazing experience, and her real estate experience has been primarily devoted to helping others make the transition. To be comfortable in Hawaii, you should learn about Hawaiian ways, from Hawaiian language and culture to hula to lomi lomi (Hawaiian Massage). But mostly, it's a way of being, and the best way to feel that is to get to know Hawaiian people and attitudes toward the land, water and nature (The 'Aina). Caring about the environment and neighbors is necessary in a fragile ecosystem like Hawaii.

After ten years in the islands, mostly on Kauai and Big Island, Liz settled on the Pahoa side of Big Island, primarily because of its wild natural beauty, the proximity to Pele and Hilo, where a lot is happening culturally, and Pahoa, where it is happening counterculturally. She is also happy to work in Kona and South Kona, as well as the Hamakua and Waimea, and even Kauai, when her clients' needs call for it.
