At Gay Realty Network, we list gay friendly real estate professionals all across Canada and the Canadian Provinces.

Quebec is the easternmost of Canada's large southern provinces (in fact, it's the second largest province in all of Canada), and has a predominantly French-speaking population - in fact, French is the sole official language of the Province, a result of the area's history as a French settlement that began with the Province's discovery by a french explorer in the early 16th century.

Quebec has two major cities. The first of these is Quebec City, on the north bank of the Saint Lawrence River, with close to half a million people. The city's name comes from an Algonquin word meaning "where the river narrows" - from here, the river widens into the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and eventually to the Atlantic Ocean. Like the Eastern Coast of the US, Quebec has a humid climate, and averages 66 degrees in the summertime.

Montreal is the Province's other large city - the largest city in Quebec and the second largest in Canada, with close to four million in the greater metropolitan area. Montreal is very gay friendly,a nd its gay life centers on The Village, the city's gay neighborhood, filled with gay bars, restaurants, and shops. Montreal is also home to many gay accommodations, and a number of gay bathhouses.

Quebec's economy is powered by natural resouces, but also by hi tech - aerospace, biotech, and pharma industries all have a foothold here.

If you're looking for Canadian living with a French flair, Quebec is the place for you.

At Gay Realty Network, we know from experience how important having gay or gay friendly real estate agent can be, especially when it's time to make an offer and fill out a contract. Having an agent that knows the difference between having joint tenancy or holding a property as tenants in common, who understands gay/lesbian families and our own unique real estate needs and challenges, and who can help you find the gay friendly neighborhoods in your area where you and your friends and family will feel comfortable is invaluable.
