Vancouver's North Shore is a wonderful, ever-changing beautiful area to live in. With a suburban flavor, it's still close to Downtown Vancouver's shopping, dining, nightlife and tourist attractions, and also close to many great outdoor activities.
The North Shore is comprised of West and North Vancouver, as well as the north side of the English Bay and Burrard Inlet. Downtown Vancouver and Burnaby are about twenty eight kilometers away, across the water. North shore also has a number of very different neighborhoods, from the apartments and condos of Lower Lonsdale to family oriented communities like Blueridge to expensive waterfront mansions in West Vancouver.
The North Shore also has many golf courses and open spaces, and there are some great cycling trails here as well. In the winter, Cypress, Grouse and Seymour Mountains are filled with hundreds of thousands of skiers. And you're just minutes from the slopes on the North Shore.
